Forged Pipe Fittings Dealer & Stockist in Delhi

Forged fittings are what you use on small-bore high-pressure piping — the elbows, tees, couplings and unions from 15 mm to 100 mm that carry steam, hydraulic oil and process fluids. They are rated in pounds class (2000, 3000, 6000 LBS) rather than schedule, and manufactured to ANSI B16.11. The market is full of cast fittings passed off as forged; every fitting we sell is from a manufacturer with test certificates and traceable heat numbers.

Forged Pipe Fittings — common questions

What does 3000 LBS and 6000 LBS mean on a forged fitting?
It is a pressure class designation, not an actual pressure limit in psi. A 3000 LBS fitting is matched to Sch 80 pipe and a 6000 LBS fitting to Sch 160, with allowable working pressure depending on temperature and material. As a rule of thumb, pick the class that matches the schedule of the pipe you are joining.
What is the difference between socket weld and screwed fittings?
A screwed fitting is threaded and sealed with PTFE tape or thread compound — quick to install, easy to dismantle, but a potential leak path and not permitted on many high-pressure or hazardous services. A socket weld fitting receives the pipe end into a recess and is welded around the outside, giving a permanent, leak-tight joint that is standard for steam and hydraulic piping.
How do I tell a genuine forged fitting from a cast one?
A forged fitting carries stamped markings — manufacturer, material grade, heat number and class — and has a smooth, dense surface with no porosity or mould lines. Cast fittings often show a seam line and a slightly rough, granular surface. Ask for the test certificate; genuine forged fittings always have one with a matching heat number.
