Fire Sprinklers Dealer & Stockist in Delhi

Sprinkler selection comes down to four things: orientation, temperature rating, K-factor and listing. Pendent for false ceilings, upright for exposed pipework, sidewall where you cannot drop a branch line. 68°C is standard for offices and residences; 79°C or higher near kitchens, boiler rooms and skylights where ambient heat would cause nuisance operation. Everything we supply is UL listed or FM approved, because unlisted sprinklers will not pass an insurance audit.

Fire Sprinklers — common questions

What is the difference between pendent and upright sprinklers?
A pendent sprinkler hangs down from the branch line, usually through a false ceiling, and its deflector throws water downward and outward. An upright sprinkler sits on top of the pipe and throws water up against the deflector and then out, which avoids the pipe itself shadowing the spray. Use upright where pipework is exposed, pendent where there is a ceiling. They are not interchangeable — fitting a pendent head upright will leave a dry shadow.
Which temperature rating should I choose?
68°C (red bulb) for normal occupancies where ambient stays below about 38°C. Move to 79°C (yellow) near kitchens, in unventilated attics, close to skylights and around heat-producing equipment, otherwise you get nuisance discharge. Very hot areas such as boiler houses need 93°C or higher.
What does the K-factor mean?
K-factor is the discharge coefficient — it tells you how much water the head delivers at a given pressure. K5.6 is the standard ½" head used in light and ordinary hazard occupancies; K8.0 delivers more water at the same pressure and is used for higher hazard and storage applications. The hydraulic design determines which one your system needs.
