Why choose a plug valve over a ball valve?
A lubricated plug valve seals with a tapered plug against the body, with sealant injected to maintain the seal. That design tolerates viscous, dirty and sticky media — tar, bitumen, slurry, heavy crude — that would jam a ball valve's seats within a few cycles. It is also compact and gives quarter-turn operation. For clean fluids, a ball valve is usually the cheaper and simpler choice.
Do you supply Audco valves with third party inspection?
Yes. We regularly supply against project specifications requiring TPI by agencies such as Lloyd's, TUV, BV or SGS, along with IBR forms and material traceability. Share the inspection requirement at enquiry stage so it is built into the quotation and the delivery schedule.
