Ball valves have quietly become the default isolation valve for most new industrial piping in India, and for good reason: a quarter turn takes you from fully open to bubble-tight shut, the bore is unrestricted, and the PTFE seats seal reliably on gas as well as liquid. We stock screwed brass and stainless valves for small utility lines, and flanged two-piece and three-piece designs in CS and SS for process duty. Three-piece valves are worth the premium wherever the valve may need in-line seat replacement without cutting the pipe.

Ball Valves — common questions

Should I choose a two-piece or three-piece ball valve?

Two-piece valves cost less and are perfectly adequate where the valve can be unbolted from the line for service. A three-piece valve lets you unbolt the centre section and replace the ball and seats while the end caps stay welded or threaded into the pipework — the right choice for lines you cannot dismantle easily, and for hygienic and chemical service.

What is the difference between full bore and reduced bore?

In a full bore valve the ball's bore matches the pipe's internal diameter, so pressure drop is negligible and a pig or brush can pass through. In a reduced bore valve the opening is one size smaller, which makes the valve cheaper and lighter but adds some pressure loss. For long pumped lines and pigging duty, insist on full bore.

Do you supply actuated ball valves?

Yes. We supply valves with ISO 5211 direct-mount pads together with pneumatic double-acting or spring-return actuators, and electric actuators with limit switches. Tell us the air supply pressure or voltage and whether you need fail-open or fail-close.

Are your SS ball valves genuine 316 grade?

Every stainless valve we sell comes with a mill or manufacturer test certificate stating the grade and heat number. If you need third-party PMI (positive material identification) testing on site, we can arrange it.
